Russian Schools Drop Windows on Fear of Prosecution

This snowball started when the police arrested a Sepich headmaster who bought a computer with Windows, that was apparently pirated. So instead of going after the group selling the PC’s they arrested the end user. As you can imagine Schools in the in the Perm region are now using Linux rather the Windows for fear of the Gulag. They said that now the schools will use fully open source softwares available. This is a big defeat for windows.

Nice! Bravo Open Source Bravo. Open Source users are now growing!
