Why be Open Source?

I have seen an ad of Microsoft which says 'use original Microsoft softwares, contact us'. It is in a desi newspaper.before this, i haven't seen Microsoft so helpless. I mean what they said in the ad:
"you employees want to do good work but your software is the reason why they failed.Please use original"

Now tell me one thing, Once people had got on 98.Then you upgrade them with some fees to windows XP. And that XP is with bugs, not fully complete error less i mean.You given some service packs to fool the customers. And now you are on vista and saying them to upgrade to vista.
And also this is with the fees!Why the hell people do pay these much?

I mean they have the license once then you should upgrade for free or you should give some discounts(i mean 50 to 60 % ok? ).

Also Linux gives them hard competition.Thats why Microsoft has to do much ad campaigns! I mean "competition is good for customers". :)

This shows the power of Freeware/Open Source. Use Open source/Freeware. Be Open,use open source. Use Linux/Unix. Its having less security threats then windows.Free softwares/packages and free upgrades.
